January 12 2010, 16:53.
16 miles west of Port-au-Prince, a 7.0 earthquake sends catastrophic waves of destruction across the region. As of February 12, an estimated 3 million people have been affected with 250,000 residences and 80,000 commercial buildings left in ruin.
In the wake of this calamity, seasoned members of the Chimere, street criminals based in Cité Soleil, have organized a small paramilitary faction. The intent of the CPF(Chimere Political Front) and other former Aristide supporters is to reclaim lost real estate and expand to outlying rural areas in the hopes of gaining support for a future coup. The Chimere have undermined local relief efforts, committed acts of violence against masses of aid workers and have resorted to terrorist inspired, IED roadblocking.
In addition to their heart-felt requests for resources and able-bodied workers, the Haitian government has asked the UN for military support to quell the alarming spread of CPF terrorism before relief efforts and more civilian life is lost. The UN's answer is to send an addition 1,000 troops, operating as an independent task force(UNTF). A combat engineering squadron will be sent in beforehand to establish several forward bases in the rural areas surrounding Port-au-Prince to bring the region to operational status.
Deployment will take place south of the current "hot zone" and resistance to infil will be minimal. Time is short. Move out.
STAGE 1Time Limit: 3h
UNTF Objectives- Establish forward defensive bases.
- Hold established bases.
- Eliminate any hostiles in the area.
The combat engineer teams will procede to designated areas and establish and fortify a base, then hold the base until relieved. Teams will defend themselves, but do not have time to "actively" hunt and engage hostiles not immediately threatening their mission. When a team has established the base, they will radio to command that their base is ready for occupation and await approval from a TaskForce inspection unit.
CPF Objectives- Kill anyone you find on the land you are claiming.
- Prevent the establishment of the forward bases.
This side will operate in small squads and sniper/spotter teams and try to prevent the establishment of these bases by harassing the engineers and killing as many UNTF as possible. The CPF will be given special instructions before game start.
There are no medics in the first stage of this game. If, a UN player is hit, He/She is out until the attacking force is eliminated, or the defending force is eliminated. Hit players will respawn in their base, 2 minutes after either of these conditions are met. CPF will be able to respawn anywhere on the field that is at least 300ft from a base. CPF will observe a 3 minute wait to respawn before going back into action.
STAGE 2Time Limit: 3h
The combat engineers have taken leave and UN troops are arriving. UN forces will start at the bases they previously set up as engineers and are tasked with holding them. After 30m, UNTF may send out squads to eliminate CPF forces. The CPF have recalled their recon team and have deployed heavily armed squads to destroy the UN installations at all costs. CPF may use any of the old, established bases. The UN players must operate out of the new bases they have constructed. Medics will be in play for the 2nd stage for both teams. 1 medic per 10 players. 2 heals, then respawn at your home or nearest friendly owned base. Bleed out is 3 minutes. CPF will require Sniper teams. These teams will be required to act the role and not play the game like your average player with a AEG.
The teams will be divided into a roughly 60/40 split, in favor of the UNTF.
