OPERATION: CENTURION - 24Apr2010
« on: March 01, 2010, 01:50:19 AM »

COMBAT SIMULATION EXPERIENCE
PRESENTS:

OPERATION: CENTURION

Ground Zero Airsoft
Wolcott, CT

http://www.groundzeroairsoftusa.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum.php

April 24th, 2010

Start Time: 0800
End Time: Approx. Midnight

Admission:35$

Background:

ISAF forces in the region around Jalalabad Afghanistan have been
Experiencing increasing actions from Taliban forces resulting in
increased civilian and ISAF casualties. Tensions are at an all time
high and the region is at a boiling point.

Task Force Orion, a unit consisting of the US 82nd Airborne Divisions
1/504th PIR, the British 2nd Regiment of the SAS and ODA 569 of the 10th Special
Forces Group, have been moved into a recently constructed
forward operating base near the Hindu Kush Mountains.

Task Force Orion has been tasked with stabilizing the region through
the elimination of Taliban forces and establishing a working relationship
with the local populous.

Intel:

This Operation will be run in a format familiar to those that have attended
HMSG vietnam operations in the past. A dynamic story line will unfold in front
of you placing you in a movie like atmosphere. A chain of command will be in
place to move the operation in a smooth manner. This will be run in a military fashion
and freelancing and lone wolves will not be tolerated! Adhearing to the COC ensures a smooth operation and
success in your mission.
This will be a 16 hour continuous
operation. Participants will arrive at the firebase at 0800 and participate in
2-3 hours of training prior to the start of combat operations. Once combat
has started it will run until endex at approximately midnight. Come prepared!!!

Show up ready to go!! Mags should be loaded and our gear should be able to be
deployed once you arrive at the FOB. We will not wait for you! Bring enough food, water,
ammo, batteries and whatever else you may need to complete the operation.

Camping before and after the event will be allowed so bring a tent and a sleeping
bag and enjoy the post game festivities!

Uniforms are as follows:

82nd Airborne, ODA 569: ACU, DCU or ABU
SAS: Desert DPM

Taliban: Woodland, Civilian and Durka

Uniforms are not negotiable!! So don't ask about Multicam, MARPAT, CADPAT, thongs, banana hammocks, etc....

MID CAP MAGS ONLY!!!! Support Weapons only with high caps.

HMSG Medic rules will be in place and available here in a later post.

If your sick of the same game and the same game mentalities THIS is the op for you!!!

More information to come!

Any questions ask them here or PM Halligan or bitcrusher  with any further.

Oh HELL YEAH!

Guess who's gonna be OPFOR? Can ya can ya can ya huh? ;)

This is straight up BAMF right here.

For those who have experienced HMSG events before, there is no explanation needed. And for those who have been curious as to how HMSG changes the game but have shied away before because it was all Namsoft, this is your chance to experience MILSIM at it's most fun and challenging.

Don't miss this!
Kiko's Glossary of Terms:

no0b (noun) -- someone who conducts one's self like a complete freakin IDIOT on and off the field; the word has no bearing on the length of time a person has been involved in Airsoft; may also be used as an adverb such as "man, showing up in sneakers is a noob move", etc.

I'm from Connecticut originally and am still a resident although Im stationed in Maine. My parents live there We could probably sleep 4 in the house and camp a bunch of others in the yard. I'm going to try to go to this. If there is any intrest in staying in Connecticut for free contact me via PM or however.

I will be Commanding OPFOR/Taliban Forces.

If anyone is interested in joining OPFOR and has any questions, hit me up.

Myself and a bunch of my crew will be carpooling down.

This is not an event to be missed and seriously 5 hours is nothing in Airsoft Travel Time. 14 hours one way is something to consider (I've done it) but 5 ain't nothing.

Trust me when I say that you will leave from this event with a completely new outlook on Airsoft.
