Hey guys i was thinking of getting a VN loadout going, preferably the American Rifleman. Just wondering what should be on my list? Suggestions.

alright thats a good list. Im probably getting a M16a1, some of the things though, i will probably work around, such as the smokes (Arent they illegal in maine anyways?)

empty ones lol same with the frags. The above list could easyly cost you 1,000 bucks. BUT you could put an ok kit togther for 400ish with out an gun.  What will you be using this kit for?

Use a revolver instead of a 1911. It's more historically accurate for pistols.

what, fail browning hi poweres and 1911 wewre are common pistols. No revolver!  Rifleman gad no handguns issued

ya, grunts had no side arms but if they took one from a CO (wich did happen) it was almost always a 1911

side arms are useful, like if your gun gets..... wait is it a rule here that if your guns shot then you cant use it?

They started issuing revolvers during the war because the semiauto pistols were getting all jammed and plugged up more when people dropped them in the mud. Revolvers are much simpler and they are more reliable especially after getting dropped in mud. I'm aware that pistols were not given to grunts.
